It is important to realize that God has given us precious promises, and that His desire is to bless us and reveal His glory in and through us. With His blessing comes the responsibility for us to fulfill the conditions of the promise. That also means we have to learn how to speak and how to declare what He has said and believe and act upon His Word. Let’s look at some of the things He has to say and His promise. Numbers 6:24- 26: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.”
We will see more on this a little later. Matthew 6:31-33: (Jesus said) “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This is priority. God does not give you all things to enjoy life. He gives you life so you can enjoy all things. For those who seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, there is going to be a heavenly aroma in your life and His divine presence in your worship, which will bring divine provision, protection, anointing, and blessings all the days of your life. Deuteronomy 8:18: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…” Next we see Jesus personified in the person of wisdom in Proverbs 8:12-21. God is our wisdom.
Wisdom is speaking, but it is God the Word, which is Jesus. “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding. I have strength. By me kings reign and rulers decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. “I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, and my revenue than choice silver. I traverse the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice, that I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth (substance), that I may fill their treasuries.” Proverbs 13:22 tells us that the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.
Wealth refers to: forces, goods, might, power, riches, strength, and 1 substance. Sinner: the wicked, those who harm and offend, and the righteous are those who are just and lawful. Verse 22 reads: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. Ecclesiastes 2:26 NIV: To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.
Psalm 118:25: Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray send now prosperity. Philippians 4:19: And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 3 John 2: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Psalm 35:27: Let them shout for joy and be glad who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
REMEMBER: The test of life is not provision, but the test of life is OBEDIENCE. Prosperity begins in your spirit and soul. A poverty mentality is much like having a victim mentality—I am always poor, I am always the victim—which means your poverty is greater than God’s ability and your fear is greater than your faith. Your faith has to be greater than your fear. There is an endless increase in God! You have to walk in faith in God’s purchased promise. The Jews quote this promise in Numbers 6:24. Read it out loud to yourself: “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.”
